I'm jumping in the freezing water, again... for the kids!
It's that time of year again, and with tradition I'm raising money for an amazing cause, and I really want your help to sponsor my team as we brave the elements and jump into the blistering cold water for this years annual Coney Island Polar Bear Plunge, partnered with Camp Sunshine.
Camp Sunshine supports children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The camp has the distinction of being the only program in the nation whose mission is to address the impact of a life threatening illness on every member of the immediate family—the ill child, the parents, and the siblings.
Camp Sunshine and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital are two organizations that mean a lot to me. My best friend Leonardo was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer when we were freshmen in high school, and fought it and survived. Since then, every year our group of friends and do at least one fundraising event to help fellow sick children with rare and in some cases untreatable cancers. Our goal is to each raise $1,000 by New Years Day.
You can help us get there by donating to a great cause today. Every little bit adds up - and if you're feeling adventurous, talk to me if you'd like to join the team! You're more than welcome to come witness us attempt to avoid hypothermia as well (for those who want to watch, PLEASE bring rumplemintz hot chocolate!)
Thanks for the support and have an amazing start to your 2017!
